Emporia Public Library is getting ready for this Christmas season with different activities for the community.
This year’s events will start with a meet and greet from 4 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 1 for members of the community to meet the new director of the Emporia Public Library.
The new director of the library Pauline Stacchini says she is looking forward to meeting the community and collaborating with them for future activities.
The next event the library is bringing back is Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 3. Stacchini says the library staff is excited to have the event back in person after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will have continental breakfast, music, crafts, and families will be able to take pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the polar express.
Other activities coming up are the bimonthly laser tag for children starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 16 and the cookie holiday decoration event at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 with which the library will close the Christmas season.
