Though the annual Polar Plunge is still more than two months away, residents looking to take a brisk dip in Mouse Lake for a great cause can get signed up now.
Registration and fundraising for teams is now open according to spokesman and organizer Scott Hayes, a recent guest of KVOE’s Newsmaker segment Monday morning. Hayes was not only encouraging local residents to get signed up for the event but also local businesses to get in as sponsors.
There are several levels for sponsorship according to fellow organizer John Koelsch. Koelsch adds that any non-profits who get involved with the event can profit share based on their fundraising efforts.
If you are interested in being a sponsor for the 2023 Polar Plunge all materials need to be into organizers by the end of January according to Hayes.
The 2023 Polar Plunge will take place at Mouse Lake on Saturday, Feb. 18. As always, proceeds from the event will go to support Kansas Special Olympics and local Special Olympics athletes.
Entry for the Polar Plunge is $75 per person. Entry for the annual Polar Strut 5K is $30. For more information or to register for the event, visit SOKS.org or PlungeKS.org.
