The Kansas Jayhawks dropped two spots to eighth in this week’s AP college poll.
In the Coaches poll, the Jayhawks are ranked sixth.
Purdue is the new top-ranked team in both polls. Virginia, UConn, Alabama, and Houston round out the top five in the AP poll. In the Coaches Poll Houston is 4th and Alabama 5th.
Out of the Big 12, Texas is seventh in the AP poll and eighth in the coaches poll., Baylor is 11th in both polls and TCU is 21st in the AP poll and 22nd in the coaches poll.. Iowa State, Texas Tech and Kansas State are receiving votes in both polls.
On the heels of a 9-0 start to the season, the Kansas Women’s Basketball team moved into the Associated Press Top 25 poll on Monday as the No. 22-ranked team in the country.
It’s the first time they have been ranked since 2013.
Earlier on Monday, the Jayhawks were named the ESPN Team of the Week following a 2-0 week with victories over Wichita State, 72-52 on Sunday, and at No. 12 Arizona, 77-50
