November home sales declined in Emporia, both compared to October and last year.
The 29 homes sold last month were below the 46 units sold in October and the 50 sold a year ago. It’s also taking longer — albeit slightly — to sell homes than it has for much of the year. It took 10 days on average to sell a home in Emporia last month, longer than the 8-day average in October.
Year-to-date, Emporia has had 446 home sales, down from the 496 last year but above the 437 from two years ago.
Greater Lyon County had 22 homes sold last month, down from 40 in October and 42 last year. Homes were on the market for nine days on average last month, near the 8-day average in October.
For the year, Lyon County has had 390 home sales, down from 418 last year but up from 365 two years ago.
