CareArc has accepted a one-time grant allocation to provide additional vaccinations and awareness to the local community.
During its regular meeting Tuesday, the CareArc Board of Directors approved acceptance of a more than $122,000 allocation from the Paycheck Protection and Healthcare Enhancement Act Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund. The H8G grant as it is called is a one-time allocation spanning over six months that must be used to help increase COVID-19 vaccinations, availability and confidence within the local community according to CareArc CEO Renee Hively.
Hively says current plans are to use the funds to address vaccine hesitancy within the community. She says the health center will use dollars to prepare testimonials, TV commercials, adds and social media campaigns.
Word on when these efforts will begin is currently pending.
Financially, CareArc saw a net gain of $55,000 for the month of November according to the monthly finance report delivered by Chief Financial Officer Seresa Howe.
Year-to-date, the health center is behind on budgeted revenues by less than one percent, but is under budget year-to-date on expenses by 6.75 percent.
The board also received the monthly clinical and CQI reports, continued discussions on credentialing discussed the 2023 joint legislative statement, the training plan for the upcoming year and the 2023 Continuous Quality Improvement work plan.
The CareArc board will reconvene for its regular monthly meeting in January.
