Pioneer Bluffs had a lot to celebrate over the course of the past year and is looking to build on those triumphs in 2023.
During a recent interview on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia, Pioneer Bluffs Director Lynn Smith touted the construction of a new children’s play area and log cabin as two of the biggest additions to the property over the past 12 months.
Smith says they are looking to continue new additions to the property and will be using a portion of their Match Day funds from this year to that end in 2023.
Smith added they were very pleased with the lineup of performances and programs that highlighted 2022 with plans already in place to bring back many of the most popular activities for the 2023 calendar.
One of the major events Pioneer Bluffs facilitates each year are field trips for local school children. Smith refers to the field trips as a “digital detox” for kids that introduces them to the freedom that comes with the great outdoors.
If you are an educator looking to schedule a class field trip you can do so by visiting their website Pioneerbluffs.org, emailing info@pioneerbluffs.org or by finding them on Facebook.
