The National Teachers Hall of Fame is beginning 2023 with a lot of news ahead of the induction nomination deadline later this month.

When it comes to inductees, fall 2022 had several announcements. 2022 inductee Christopher Poulos was elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives.A teacher with better than 20 years in the classroom, Poulus was elected by one vote. Meanwhile, 2020 inductee Melissa Collins has been named the 2022-23 teacher of the year in Tennessee — and 2022 inductee Kareem Neal was featured in a New York Times video article, “Empty Classrooms, Abandoned Kids: Inside America’s Great Teacher Resignation.”
