The first Area Game of the Week for 2023 features a Lyon County League showdown.
It’ll be an in-district matchup between Olpe and Hartford.
The Olpe girls are 5-3 on the season and 2-1 in league play. Hartford is 2-6 and 0-3 in league play.
Olpe girls coach Ron Slaymaker says the Eagles can’t overlook the Jaguars.
The Olpe boys are 8-0 and 3-0 in league play, while Hartford is 4-4 and 0-3 in league play.
Hartford boys coach Colten Barrett says the Jaguars have to be at their best.
Game times from Olpe are 6 p.m. for the girls, 7:30 p.m. for the boys. You can hear the games on Country 101.7 FM with coverage beginning around 5:40 p.m.
