(esu) Emporia State University has announced that they have agreed to a 3-year contract extension with Head Football Coach Garin Higgins, an extension that lasts thru the 2025 season.
That is the longest extension allowed by the Kansas Board of Regents.
This is the first multi-year Coaching contract for Emporia State.
Coach Higgins wrapped up his 15th season leading the Hornets to a Live United Bowl win.
He is 97-77 and has led the Hornets to 7 postseason appearances.
In addition to Coach Higgins contract extension, Emporia State has agreed to salary enhancements for the entire coaching staff to bring them in line with the marketplace as well as a commitment to several facility and scholarship improvements.
