A preliminary hearing is tentatively planned in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday for alleged aggravated assault and interference with law enforcement.
Armando Ortiz Jr was charged after allegedly assaulting a woman with a torch lighter and subsequently resisting arrest Nov. 22. He’s also accused of single counts of methamphetamine and paraphernalia possession.
The hearing is set for 3 pm Wednesday before Judge Doug Jones. The hearing may be continued.
