Chances of accumulating snowfall were already next to nonexistent with an incoming winter storm for Wednesday. Updates early Tuesday now remove that chance altogether.
Recent forecast models push any snowfall well out of the KVOE listening area. Monday forecasts had indicated a dusting along and north of the US Highway 56 corridor.
Rain remains in the forecast, including some chances for thunderstorm activity Wednesday afternoon, and the National Weather Service is still looking for up to half an inch of rain areawide before the storm moves off to the northeast.
Another storm system may bring a chance of a rain-snow mix for Saturday and Sunday.
Stay with KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media for updates with both winter storms.
