The Lyon County Commission has its second meeting of the year Thursday.
It will be the first for First District Commissioner Ken Duft as a member of the board. He says he’s ready to serve the district.
Duft has been researching numerous items since he was elected in November, including the budget, infrastructure matters and zoning issues. He replaces Scott Briggs, who represented the district 16 years before deciding against running for a fifth term in office. Duft says he plans to represent the people of the First District and to be accessible if anybody has concerns about county government matters.
The County Commission meeting agenda includes nearly $10,000 in audio updates to the Bowyer Community Building, a presentation on KWORC insurance premiums and two executive sessions. The meeting begins at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
