The longest-running consecutive basketball tournament west of the Mississippi is back in White Auditorium.
Competition began for the 102nd Lyon County League Tournament Monday. This will be the 83rd year White Auditorium has hosted the tournament according to Director Ted Vannocker.
Vannocker has led the tournament for more than 40 years now and says his excitement for the competition remains the same year after year.
First-round games will continue inside of White Auditorium beginning at 4 pm Tuesday. The tournament will take a quick break Wednesday before the consolation semi-finals on Thursday.
Championship semi-final games will be played Friday with the consolation and championship games scheduled for Saturday. KVOE will be broadcasting all games on Country 101.7 fm with audio and video streaming online at KVOE-TV at KVOE.com.
