Wednesday is shaping up to be a busy day in Lyon County District Court.
*Christopher A Diaz has separate preliminary hearings planned, one for charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery and aggravated assault connected to an alleged incident May 2 and another for aggravated domestic battery and other charges dating back to an alleged incident Jan. 8. The prelim for the domestic battery case is at 9 am, followed by the hearing for the aggravated robbery case at 10:30 am.
*Jovani Sotelo has his first appearance in a case accusing him of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy after an alleged incident Jan. 8. Sotelo’s first appearance is at 12:45 pm.
*Two people accused of aggravated child endangerment, drug possession and paraphernalia possession have separate hearings. Christina Marie Williams has a hearing at 2:30 pm, followed by a hearing for Larry Jan Williams at 3 pm.
*A status hearing is coming for Anthony Martinez at 4 pm for a drug distribution case. Martinez is charged with distributing up to 100 grams of cocaine outside an unlisted Lyon County school along with lesser drug-related activity. Trial in the Martinez case could begin as soon as Monday, depending on how Wednesday’s hearing goes.
