The title of Miss Rodeo Kansas is a big one.
Jessica Klumpe, crowned last Saturday as Miss Rodeo Kansas has a very local upbringing in Olpe, Kansas. She says that being raised on a farm and being in clubs such as 4H sparked early interest in her.
As well as being heavily involved in rodeo herself, Klumpe actively seeks to give back to the community and those involved with agriculture with her Queen title.
Klumpe says that her platform is a way of promoting the people that are out in the field every day.
As well as competing throughout the year in various states, in December Klumpe will travel to Las Vegas where she will seek the title of Miss Rodeo America.
