The Emporia High wrestling teams had their final tune-ups before next weekend’s Centennial League Tournament Saturday.
The Emporia High boys finished third in the SEK Invitational at Chanute.
Xerarch Tungjaroenkul won the 150-pound bracket. Three Spartans finished second, Christian Trujillo at 157, Davian White at 165 and Jesse Ultreres at 175.
Nick Marcum was third at 190.
The Emporia High girls competed in the Junction City Invitational.
11 of the 12 Lady Spartans placed in the top four.
Virginia Munoz was the lone champion at 135.
Ariana Estrada at 105, Claire Starr at 130, Kiana Flores-Delgado at 170, and Alexa Castillo all placed second.
Yaneli Carranza was third at 155.
Heily Batres at 100, Azia Obregon at 115, Kensley Medrano at 125, Marley Sewell at 140 and Breanna Wolf at 19o all placed fourth.
The Spartans and Lady Spartans travel to Junction City for the Centennial League Tournament next Saturday.
