Both Kansas and Kansas State picked up wins in the Big 12 / SEC challenge Saturday.
The Kansas Jayhawks outscored Kentucky 77-68.
Jalen Wilson scored 22 points. KJ Adams added 17 points, Grady Dick finished with 13 points, and Kevin McCullar finished with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The win ended a 3 game-losing skid for the Jayhawks.
KU will host Kansas State Tuesday.
Kansas State was a 64-50 winner of Florida.
Three Wildcats scored in double figures, including a third consecutive double-double by senior Keyontae Johnson, who played against his former team for the first time. Senior Markquis Nowell flirted with the school’s first triple-double, as he finished with 13 points, a career-tying 9 rebounds, and a game-high 8 assists in 33 minutes. Junior Nae’Qwan Tomlin added 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Kansas State plays at Kansas Tuesday night.
