Emporia Spartan Boxing’s Ryker Gorton lost a hard-fought bout in the first round of the Silver Gloves National Tournament Thursday.
Gorton lost via decision to number two-ranked Adrian Gamino. This was the fifth bout for Gorton in his amateur career.
Head Coach Lucas Gorton says it was a tough draw, but a great opportunity to gain more experience.
Gorton is just the second Spartan Boxer to compete at the national level following Junior Robles who competed at the Golden Gloves National Tournament last August.
