Water service has been restored after a water main break in west Emporia.
Underground utility crews were called to the break at the intersection of Prairie Street and Sonora around 5 pm. Repairs were completed around 7:40 pm.
The size of the line and cause of the break has not been announced.
Repairs ongoing following water main break in west Emporia
Utility crews are in the process of repairing a water line break in far west Emporia Thursday evening.
According to the city of Emporia’s CodeRed notification system the break developed at the intersection of Prairie Street and Sonora Drive just before 5 pm. The size of the line and a cause for the break have not been announced.
