Home sales in Emporia dipped from December and were also lower than a year ago.
Sunflower Association of Realtors says Emporia had 15 homes sold in January, down from the 31 sold in December and 29 from November. That’s down slightly from the January 2022 total of 16.
Greater Lyon County — outside the Emporia city limits — had sales dip from 28 homes in December to nine in January. This was lower than the 14 units sold a year ago.
Homes may not be selling to the same numbers as they have over the last two years, but they are still selling quickly. Emporia homes were only the market an average of eight days before they sold last month. Greater Lyon County homes were on the market for an average of 10 days before selling.
On average, homes across the county sold for over 95 percent of their list prices.
