The Emporia State softball team won both games they played in the Lubbock Christian Tournament Saturday.
The Lady Hornets shut out Chadron State 3-0. Josie Harrison tossed a 1 hit shutout.
Ari Cordova was 3 for 3 at the plate with a run driven in.
Alexis Dial hit a home run in the 4th inning.
In their second game, Emporia State run-ruled Texas Permian Basin 15-7. Ari Cordova hit a grand slam in the 5th inning. Bailey Flewelling hit a solo home run as part of a 9-run 5th inning.
With the two wins the Emporia State softball team improves to 3-1. They will play Adams State in a doubleheader Sunday.
