Lyon County deputies are still investigating after reports of damaged road signs in the north part of the county earlier this month.
The sign damage was discovered Saturday morning. Undersheriff John Koelsch says at least six signs were hit by a vehicle in the area of Kansas Highway 99 and Road 370, almost exactly between Admire and the Lyon-Wabaunsee county line. Two KDOT stop signs and four county information signs were hit, including some alerting residents to upcoming flood areas. Deputies believe the damage was deliberate.
No suspect or suspect vehicle information is currently available, and it’s unclear when the signs were damaged.
