The Emporia High basketball teams picked up a road sweep over Junction City Friday Night.
The Spartans avenged an earlier season loss to the Blue Jays with a 50-36 victory.
Junction City led by four early, but once Emporia High got the lead, it didn’t give it up.
Emporia High coach Lee Baldwin said their team chemistry was big in the win.
Parker Leeds led Emporia High with 16 points. River Peters added 13 and Fred Jackson had 10.
The Emporia High boys are now 14-5 on the season and 7-2 in the Centennial League.
The Emporia High girls cruised to a 45-19 victory.
Emporia High never trailed in the contest and led by as many as 30.
Coach Carolyn Dorsey says there were some key things the Lady Spartans had an advantage in.
Addie Kirmer led Emporia High with 22 points.
The Emporia High girls are 16-3 on the season and 7-2 in the Centennial League.
Up next for the Spartans and Lady Spartans is their regular season finale at home Friday against Washburn Rural.
