A juvenile cyclist was hurt in a crash just west of Emporia early Friday evening.
Lyon County Sgt. Zach Shafer says the incident happened shortly after 5:15 pm at the Green Acres Mobile Home Park, 1753 Road E. An SUV driver, 21-year-old Carlene Hanson of Emporia, was eastbound when her view was apparently obstructed for unspecified reasons. Her SUV then hit the westbound bike.
The juvenile suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
