The Emporia State softball team closed out play in the ESU Classic with a win over Concordia St. Paul and a loss to Missouri St. Louis.
The Lady Hornets outscored Concordia St. Paul 5-3.
They scored 3 of the runs off of 3 Concordia errors.
Bailey Flewelling and Lexi Williams each drove in a run.
Sydney Righi was the winning pitcher giving up 3 runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts.
Coach April Rosales was pleased with the way they bounced back from Sunday’s losses.
Missouri St. Louis shut out the Lady Hornets 5-0 on a 1 hitter.
The Emporia State softball team is now 7-5 for the season.
They will play in the Washburn Tournament beginning Friday against St. Cloud and the University of Mary.
