No decision has been announced by USD 252 Southern Lyon County after the Board of Education interviewed candidates for superintendent Tuesday.
Three finalists were announced before the formal interviews, all building principals — Emporia High’s Dathan Fischer, Eureka High’s Sean Spoonts and Colby High’s Ryan Muhlig. Candidates had a district tour followed by the official interviews.
Board Chair Emily Darbyshire says the district is working to finish the process, including a meeting to formally approve a new leader. The date and time for that meeting are pending.
The district choice for superintendent will supplant Mike Argabright, who is retiring after 16 years leading the district.
