The Emporia State softball team picked up two wins at the Washburn Classic Saturday.
The run ruled Sioux Falls 13-4. The Lady Hornets scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning and put the game out of reach with 6 runs in the 4th inning.
Jayda VanAckeren drove in three runs with a home run and was the winning pitcher.
Haley Garrett hit a 2 run home run. Sophia Rockhold also drove in 3 runs.
Emporia State also defeated Southwest Minnesota State 7-4.
They will play Wayne State and Missouri St. Louis Sunday.
Monday Emporia State hosts St. Cloud State.
