The Emporia High girls basketball team begins postseason play Tuesday night at Spartan Gymnasium against Newton.
The Lady Spartans are the No. 3-seed with a 16-3 record. Newton is the 14-seed and is 7-13.
Emporia High coach Carolyn Dorsey says the Lady Spartans need to take it one basket at a time.
Junior Addie Kirmer says they have to continue playing their best basketball.
Game time from Spartan Gymnasium is 7 p.m. You can hear the game on Mix 104.9 FM with coverage beginning at 6:40 p.m. The winner will play the winner between Maize South and Salina South Friday night at the highest seed remaining.
