A pretrial hearing is now set for mid-April in a Lyon County aggravated battery case.
Paul Eugene Heape waived his preliminary hearing Monday, setting up an arraignment hearing at 8:30 am April 13. Heape may learn his potential trial dates at that hearing.
Heape faces two counts of aggravated battery after alleged incidents between November and late January. He also faces single counts of aggravated assault, criminal restraint and criminal threat. He allegedly threatened a woman with a knife in mid-January.
