As USD 252 Southern Lyon County has concluded its search for a superintendent, USD 386 Madison-Vigil is moving into the formal interview stage with its search.
Humboldt High Principal John Johnson is interviewing with the board Tuesday. A community meet-and-greet is also scheduled at Madison’s Sauder Center from 4-5 pm Tuesday.
Johnson has over 12 years of administrative experience, including his current time as Humboldt High’s principal and previous time as Humboldt Middle School’s assistant principal.
Board member Jeff Williams says the district has received nine applications so far. The board has announced plans to have interviews, including community meet-and-greet events, as the district looks for a new leader.
USD 386 is looking for a superintendent to replace Steve Jowers, who will become the superintendent at USD 448 Inman after leading Madison-Virgil since June.
