Members of the community enjoyed delicious biscuits and gravy while supporting a good cause organized by the Emporia Lions Club Saturday morning.
The Annual Lions Club Breakfast is the only fundraiser the club does to support its community projects. Lions Club President Tammy Edmiston says the funds will help to cover the sight or diabetes medical expenses of local residents who are in need.
The members of the Lions Club cooked and served many breakfast orders from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Lions Club Treasurer Cole Cassidy says the event had a good turnout and thanks the help of other groups that came to support the fundraiser.
