The USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education has a lot on its agenda for Wednesday night’s meeting.
After recent conversations with SafeDefend, a company that connects different law enforcement and emergency teams to the district if needed, board members will field a presentation from Emergent3, a company with a similar mission.
In other discussion items, board members will get the latest capital outlay update. They will also discuss the use of school facilities by community groups.
Action items include a resurfacing of the North Lyon County Elementary gymnasium at an estimated cost of over $15,000 through Foster Flooring, as well as new equipment and a furnace for the building’s weight room. Bids for storage buildings could also be handled.
There are two executive sessions on the ballot, one for student matters and one for non-elected personnel.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm Wednesday at North Lyon County Elementary School in Americus.
