An unspecified medical condition apparently led to a semi wreck and reported injuries for the driver on the Kansas Turnpike near the Matfield Green service exit early Friday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the semi’s driver, 62-year-old Ilidio Barbosa Vicente of Orlando, Florida, was leaving the highway at the Cassoday exit shortly before 1:20 am. In the process, Vicente’s truck crossed the center yellow line and hit several unspecified items before the truck stopped on the center barrier wall in front of the toll booth.
Vicente was taken to Susan B Allen Hospital in El Dorado with suspected minor injuries.
