The Emporia State softball team was swept in a doubleheader by Central Oklahoma in their MIAA opener Friday.
Central Oklahoma won the first game 5-1 and won the second game 7-2.
Emporia State Coach April Rosales said there were several bright spots.
The Lady Hornets were scheduled to host Newman in a doubleheader Saturday, which has been postponed and rescheduled for April 18th.
The Lady Hornets now head to Hawaii for 6 games against Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade.
