Lyon County Commissioners made quick work of their regular action session agenda Thursday morning.
Commissioners approved signing a letter of support to participate in the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s Healthy Families Outreach, Prevention and Early Intervention program. Requests from Lyon County Engineer Chip woods including an application for an open cut permit for Skillman Construction, LLC for a sewer connection on Prairie Street related to the highway department’s new building construction project and a quote of $23,900 for a used Cat HH120ES excavator from Foley Rental also gained approval.
Commissioners also approved an agreement presented by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office to provide health care to patients incarcerated at the Lyon County Jail. Three executive sessions, two for non-elected personnel and one for legal matters, were also held.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene for its weekly action meeting next Thursday at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
