The USD 252 is getting preparations ready for its latest Honor Flight fundraiser with some delicious food and entertainment.
Veterans will visit Washington D.C. in April with their student guardians. USD 252 Honor Flight organizer Staci Garriott says this year they will have a walking taco fundraiser and donkey basketball.
Student Guardian Emily Kelley says joining veterans is a great experience and motivates everyone to support these activities through the fundraiser.
Walking tacos will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the Hartford High School Gymnasium. Donkey basketball will start at 6:30 p.m. with three games planned. Tickets for the event are $10 until Monday noon and then will cost $15 at the door.
