Emporia Fire Chief Brandon Beck has been appointed to a state board.
The 911 Coordinating Council is set up to monitor how 911 is delivered, as well as to develop strategies for upcoming enhancements to the 911 system and to disburse available grant funds.
Beck’s term is through June 2024.
