11th annual Pan Fried Taco Feed benefits scholarships for Emporia State’s Athletic Training students

The 11th annual Pan Fried Taco Feed was held Wednesday at the Didde Catholic Campus Center.

Nearly 1,500 tacos were made and sold. Proceeds support the John “Doc” Baxter Athletic Training Student Scholarship and the professional development of the ESU Athletic Training Club.

Organizer Gilbert Rodriguez says the event started as an experiment.

Marissa Jacobson, a senior from Marion studying athletic training, says it’s rewarding to be involved in an event that benefits her major.
