The Emporia State baseball team powered past Northwestern Oklahoma State 13-4 Wednesday.
The Hornets hit 3 home runs in building a 6-3 lead. Kadyn Williams hit solo home run in the first inning. Quinton Carlberg hit a solo home run in the 3rd inning and Andrew Rantz hit a solo home run in the 4th inning.
The Hornets erupted for 7 runs in the 7th inning to put the game out of reach.
The Hornets improve to 11-16 for the season. They will play a 3 game series against Missouri Southern in Joplin beginning Friday.
