The Emporia State men finished in 3rd place and the women in 5th place at the ESU Relays that wrapped up Saturday.
Emporia State had 2 champions and 6 provisional qualifiers for nationals in their first outdoor meet of the season.
On Friday Alyssa Conway won the hammer throw with provision throw for nationals. Last year she finished 2nd at the MIAA meet and 14th at the National meet.
The women’s 4 by 400 relay team of Lauren Carlson, Jasmine Hurla, Abigael Reid, and Hollie Marlow finished in 1st place.
Hollie Marlow ran the anchor leg of the relay.
Megan McManis had a provisional mark in the pole vault, she finished in 2nd place.
Travis Morrison had a provisional mark in the shot put, he finished in 3rd place.
Brock Merz had a provisional time in the 400 hurdles and finished in 3rd place.
Abigael Reid finished in 3rd place in the heptathlon with a provisional score for nationals.
Holly Brockmeier had a provisional throw in the javelin and finished in 8th place.
Emporia State Coach Steve Blocker was pleased with the overall effort.
The Kansas State women and Missouri Southern men were the team champions.
