A status hearing is set for May after an alleged incident involving a rifle in Greenwood County on Saint Patrick’s Day.
Greenwood County deputies say they responded to a report of a physical disturbance, later arresting Brian Linden on suspicion of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, attempted rape and driving under the influence. Linden has since been formally charged with aggravated battery and DUI after allegedly having a blood alcohol content of 0.178 and threatening a woman with a .22-caliber rifle.
The status hearing is at 1:30 pm May 12 before Judge Phyllis Webster.
