The Emporia High boys tennis team finished seventh in its first home tournament Tuesday.
Mats Goerres finished second in singles with a 3-1 record.
The doubles team of Jacob Simons and Carlos Bautista finished ninth with a 3-1 record.
Emporia High will host its second tournament of the week on Thursday with matches beginning at 3 p.m.
