Members of St. James Missionary Baptist Church was feeding residents and their souls Saturday with a delicious fundraiser.
The church was hosting a Rib-It fundraiser featuring full slabs smoked by brothers Earl and St. James Reverend Larry Williams. Rev. Williams says there were a lot of ways the church could go about raising funds, but feeding the community fell in line with their overall mission.
He says those who receive blessings should always strive to bless others.
Aside from raising funds, Reverend Williams says the event also served as a great time of fellowship for its members and the community. He says any event that allows them to serve others and spend time together is always worth their time and energy.
All proceeds will go to support the purchase of a new air conditioning unit for the church. Totals are currently pending.
