Roughly three hours after it was reported Sunday afternoon, a broken water main in northwest Emporia was deemed fully repaired.
The break was on a 10-inch line just east of Prairie in the 2200 block and was reported shortly before 3:30 pm, although at least one Four Seasons Apartment resident noted water pressure issues as early as noon. The line was listed as repaired shortly before 7 pm.
Residents on both sides of Prairie, including those living in Four Seasons, Greenbriar Estates and apartments on the west side of the block, as well as West Side Baptist Church, had their water service affected.

Emporia Public Works is beginning the process for finding and fixing a water main break in northwest Emporia.
The break in the 2200 block of Prairie was reported shortly before 3:45 pm. A 10-inch line is affected on a driveway connecting Prairie Street to West Side Baptist Church.
It’s unclear how long water service or traffic in the area will be impacted. KVOE and KVOE.com will have updates.
