The Emporia High baseball team was swept by Washburn Rural Friday at Soden’s Grove.
Washburn Rural took the first game 8-0 before taking the second game, 5-0.
Emporia High recorded just three hits in the doubleheader.
Emporia High coach Anthony Markowitz says there are still positives that come out of the doubleheader for the Spartans.
Emporia High is now 0-8 on the season and 0-6 in the Centennial League. Up next for the Spartans is a trip to Topeka to face Topeka High on Friday.
