ABATE of Kansas District 12 welcomed area residents to the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building for the Spring Fling Bike Show on Saturday.
State President Byron Harden has been part of the organization for 25 years, and he says he’s proud of the work ABATE does when it comes to education, policy, awareness and fundraising.
On policy matters, a big concern deals with autonomous cars, which could well be more prevalent in a few years.
The event is the club’s major fundraiser and totals are pending. Funds help to buy toys for children, scholarship dollars at Flint Hills Technical College and gift cards or other incidentals for people in need during the holidays.
The show, the 28th annual for the club, featured about 25 motorcycles and a number of vendors from across Kansas.
