The Easter bunny and easter eggs of the Flint Hills Optimist Club gave children of the community and their families a morning full of fun while searching for candies in the park on Saturday.
This is the 37th Annual Flint Hills Optimist Club Easter Egg Hunt and this year the group hid around 15,000 candies in Jones Park for children between zero to nine years old to search with their families.
Flint Hills Optimist Club president for 2023-24 Stan Fowler says this event is a way to give back to the community and support children.
Flint Hills Optimist Club member Cheryl Durler says this event is important as it aligns with the mission of the club of providing activities for youth under 18 to support their growth.
