The Emporia State softball team swept a doubleheader from Fort Hays State Saturday.
The Lady Hornets won the first game 4-3. Haley Garnett hit a 3-run home run in the 5th inning to give Emporia State a 4-1 lead.
Fort Hays would score 2 runs in the 7th inning. Sydney Righi was the winning pitcher in game 1.
Emporia State won the 2nd game 6-0. Gracie Rabe tossed a 4 hit shutout.
The win in game 2 was the 200th win for Head Coach April Rosales.
The Emporia State softball team improves to 25-15 for the season and 7-7 in MIAA play.
