The Emporia High softball team went 0-2 at the McPherson Quad Tuesday.
Emporia High was defeated by Derby, 15-0 in three innings in the first game. Louisburg then defeated the Lady Spartans 14-3 in the consolation game.
Against Louisburg, Emporia High had a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a 2-run home run by Kaylee Reimer. After that, it was all Louisburg. The Wildcats scored seven runs over the first two innings before Emporia High tallied a run in the third when Reimer scored on an error.
Louisburg added one in the third and six in the fifth for the run-rule victory.
Reimer went 1-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs.
Emporia High is now 1-9 on the season. The Lady Spartans will get to play their first home games on Friday at Peter Pan Park when they host Manhattan.
