A trial date for an alleged shooting in Emporia last summer could be finalized Wednesday.
Shedrick Williams will be in Lyon County District Court at 4 pm for a status hearing. A trial could begin as soon as Monday or May 1, depending on the current court schedule.
Williams is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, and burglary after one person was shot at Emporia’s Eastgate Apartment complex this past July. Former co-defendant Keno Hopkins had his case dismissed for lack of probable cause.
